smokey has had a very hard life.  before he was rescued, smokey spent years living on the end of a chain shut away from the love and companionship that dogs need to be their best selves. 

when he was first rescued, he was terribly thin and neglected, but even then his rescuers could see the sweetness in this little survivor.

after he was rescued, he was brought to the tlc animal shelter where he has been discovering the joys of feeling warm and well cared for.  

after everything that this sweet and appealing boy has been through, the tlc shelter would like someone in smokey's new family to be home during the day ... so that smokey does not ever have to be lonely or frightened again.
